The Oil of Consolation
Console is one of six proprietary essential oil blends that forms part of dōTERRA's Emotional Aromatherapy Kit. Each blend represents a common category of emotional wellbeing, that is likely to be experienced in your home.
Console is known as the Comforting Blend and combines floral and tree essential oils to promote feelings of comfort and hope. It is also emotionally uplifting. You may find yourself reaching for this blend during times of loss, burden, grief or uncertainty.
I have often heard of Console being described as a nice warm hug in a bottle, which is an apt description as it helps to soothe emotional pain. It also provides a reminder to be patient with healing and to think positive thoughts.
The combination of Frankincense, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Labdanum, Amyris, Sandalwood and other essential oils, results in a sweet, musky scent.
Console comes neat in a 5mL bottle which can be applied to a sachet and placed in drawers or closets to give clothes a comforting aroma. You can also apply a drop or two onto your shirt collar or scarf so you can carry the scent with you into your day.
It is also great for adding to your diffuser. When there has been a loss felt by your family or friends, I think diffusing is a beautiful way to ensure a comforting and supportive atmosphere for everyone who enters the home.

Console also comes as a dōTERRA Touch (10mL Roll On) that is packaged with Fractionated Coconut Oil ready for application when feeling sad or unsettled. You can apply it over your heart or bottom of your feet in the morning, and on your wrists throughout the day, by carrying it with you in your purse or pocket. You could also try massaging it into your shoulders for additional comfort and relief.
