The Oil of Wellness
As an Australian, I have grown up around Eucalyptus trees, which we also refer to as Gum Trees. For those of you not so familiar with them, they are tall, evergreen trees that grow up to 50 feet tall. Our iconic animal, the Koala, lives on a diet consisting of mainly Eucalyptus leaves.
Eucalyptus can be found in mouthwash to freshen breath and promote oral hygiene. Its cleansing properties can be beneficial for the skin. Try adding a drop to your moisturiser to revitalise the appearance of your skin. The cleansing properties can be used to clean surfaces by adding it to your natural surface spray and to cleanse the air by diffusing.
Emotionally, Eucalyptus is known as the Oil of Wellness. It supports the soul who is constantly facing illness and encourages them to let go of their attachments to illness. Eucalyptus also encourages individuals to take full responsibility for their own health and teaches how to claim wholeness and heal. The distinct camphoraceous aroma is fresh and clean and promotes a sense of calmness and balance.
Another way to use Eucalyptus is to place a few drops in your hands while showering. Place your hands over your nose and inhale deeply for a feeling of invigoration and vitality. Combined with the steam from the shower, this is a great way to use it.
