Hi there,
My name is Jasmine and I'm so glad you have stopped by.
Pure Drops of Jasmine is a way for me to share my love of essential oils and support people in getting these amazing oils into their homes and lives. I will also open myself up and share with you what anxiety and depression is like for me and some of the handy hints that I have learnt to make life easier. And in general I want to help you feel gratitude for the little things in life.
New In My Diffuser
Whenever I’m sitting down at the computer, I love to have the diffuser on to set the atmosphere for what I’m doing. This combination of Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Sandalwood creates a calm and relaxed tone which is my preferred state to work in. With its floral notes, it is perfect for Spring and you’ll love it, whether you are working or relaxing.
This is a completely different blend than I have shared before. Arborvitae, Cedarwood and Hawaiian Sandalwood combine brilliantly to create a woodsy, aroma that supports you to feel grounded and connected.
Chasing a blend to help lift you up? Look no further than this combination of Eucalyptus, Bergamot and Tangerine.
I love reaching for the diffuser to be able to influence the mood of myself and others around me. This combination of AromaTouch, Lime, Balance and Citrus Bliss sounds like it has a lot going on, but trust me - they work together.
These three oils combine spectacularly to create an atmosphere that smells delicious and immediately uplifting, while also working to calm your emotions. I hope you love this one as much as I do!
I believe that when you aren’t feeling yourself, it is important to not only support your physical health, but also your mental health and emotions, which is why this combination of Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Lemon and Peppermint is a winner.
I love having dōTERRA essential oils on hand to support and adjust my moods. I woke up feeling quite flat today with an edge of anxious jitters. There was no obvious reason for the ‘bleh’ mood but I knew I couldn't allow this feeling to control my day. In my diffuser, I chose to blend Copaiba, Lavender, Blue Tansy and OnGuard (Protective Blend) to shake things up.
What's New On The Blog?
I can’t really call myself a dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, if during the Pure Drops of Jasmine Women’s Month I fail to talk about Emily Wright, Founding Executive - Sales & Marketing. Emily co-founded dōTERRA alongside David Stirling, Corey Lindley and Dr David Hill, with the mission of sourcing the world’s purest and most potent essential oils, and sharing them with the world.
I have decided that August is going to be all about the ladies by putting a distinctly feminine flavour on everything I’m sharing.
Why?
Well, why not?!?
I was looking for a chicken recipe so I could cook for my parents last night and I came across this Orange & Ginger Chicken Stir-Fry recipe by dōTERRA. Needless to say, I was excited for the opportunity to try something new with my oils.
At the dōTERRA Convention last month, there was a session called “Cooking with Essential Oils”. This is the first one I have road-tested, Green Mandarin Parfait. It is easy to prepare and tastes delicious!
New A Drop Of...
I didn’t have any knowledge of what Myrrh was except a vague biblical reference as one of the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the Three Wise Men. In my research I discovered Myrrh essential oil is steam distilled from the resin of the Myrrh tree. It has been documented throughout history in embalming and religious ceremonies, and has been used as a perfume, incense and health aid.
As we are spending August focusing on women, it seems only right that we discuss ClaryCalm (aka the Monthly Blend for Women). This proprietary blend is designed for topical use, specifically by women.
As I have dubbed August ‘Women’s Month’, it seems only appropriate that we learn a little bit about Whisper, the Blend for Women
Console is known as the Comforting Blend and combines floral and tree essential oils to promote feelings of comfort and hope. It is also emotionally uplifting. You may find yourself reaching for this blend during times of loss, burden, grief or uncertainty.
I was familiar with Geranium from having grown up with a couple of varieties of them in the garden, but I thought they just flowered and looked pretty. I didn’t realise there was more to them than meets the eye.
As an Australian, I have grown up around Eucalyptus trees, which we also refer to as Gum Trees. For those of you not so familiar with them, they are tall, evergreen trees that grow up to 50 feet tall. Our iconic animal, the Koala, lives on a diet consisting of mainly Eucalyptus leaves.
Like other citrus oils, Bergamot has the chemical component Limonene which is commonly known for its uplifting aromatic characteristics. Bergamot differs though due its ability to also be calming to the emotions, while still uplifting. It also differs by having a bitter tasting fruit that yields a sweet essential oil.
Clary Sage is a herb and the essential oil we use is steam distilled from the flowers. The aroma is uniquely floral edged with woody, herbal notes. Its main chemical component is linalyl acetate, part of the esters group, making it one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balancing essential oils.
There are so many reasons that I love dōTERRA, but if I start talking about that here, I will never get to the point of this blog. I want to focus on the charitable side of dōTERRA, specifically their partnership with Days for Girls.
